Microfinance without borders: efficiency and trust in the digital age

This webinar, organized by Namirial and held on July 30 in Spanish, explored how digital transformation is changing the way credit unions and microfinance institutions interact with their members and customers, and how they can deliver simpler, more secure digital experiences backed by legal certainty.

The session featured Ferran Díaz de Argandoña, Head of Sales LATAM, and Lilliam Navarro, Country Sales Manager at Namirial, who presented how digital identity, biometric verification, remote onboarding, electronic signatures, and trust services can help accelerate the acquisition of new members, simplify account opening and loan processes, and reduce abandonment throughout digital journeys.

The webinar covered strategies to digitize the onboarding of new members and customers 100% remotely, reduce friction in onboarding and contracting processes, and apply electronic signatures to different use cases, including accounts, loans, and contractual documentation.

The session also highlighted the importance of certified communications, electronic time stamping, and digital evidence management to ensure full traceability of interactions, provide legal certainty, and help institutions prevent and resolve potential claims. Finally, best practices for promoting financial inclusion through secure and accessible digital processes were discussed.
