Nova is a fully integrated telecommunications and media provider and a member of United Group, the leading telecoms and media group in Southeastern Europe. Serving private customers and businesses across Greece with mobile, fixed telephony, broadband, pay TV, and ICT services, Nova manages millions of customer interactions every year. To keep pace with its commercial ambitions – including a 2 billion euro investment plan through 2027 – the company embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation of its contract and onboarding processes, with Namirial as its trusted digital signature partner.
Challenges and Drivers for Electronic Signatures in Telecommunications
Telecoms is a contract-heavy industry. Every new customer activation, service upgrade, dealer agreement, or field service visit generates documentation that needs to be signed, stored, and retrievable. For Nova, this translated into hundreds of thousands of signing events every month across retail stores, telesales channels, field service teams, and online platforms.
The legacy approach – paper contracts, physical signatures, manual filing – was simply no longer viable at this scale. It created delays in service activation, increased the risk of missing or incomplete documents, and added unnecessary cost and complexity across the business. Nova needed a digital signing ecosystem that could serve all its channels consistently: in-store pads, remote email and OTP flows, technician tablets, and partner portals. Beyond convenience, the solution also had to meet the legal certainty requirements of eIDAS, ensuring that signed contracts would hold up in any regulatory or judicial context.
Why Did Nova Need a Qualified Trust Services Provider?
Operating in a regulated sector, Nova’s contracts carry significant legal and commercial weight. As the company expanded its digital onboarding processes and moved towards eIDAS-compliant signing flows – including Qualified Electronic Signatures for high-stakes agreements – it required a QTSP capable of underpinning these with the appropriate trust infrastructure.
The move to a private SaaS instance of eSignAnyWhere (nova.signanywhere.com) in 2025 marked a step change in this direction. Nova sought stronger legal certainty, better integration with its CRM, ERP, and Field Service Management platforms, and a scalable architecture capable of supporting future eIDAS 2.0-driven use cases including eSIM activation, digital identity, and EUDI Wallet integration.
Why Namirial?
Nova had already been working with Namirial’s on-premise signing solutions for in-store and vendor contract workflows, which made extending the partnership a natural choice. When the project to build out a private cloud SaaS environment was initiated in April 2025, Namirial – supported by long-term local implementation partner Neurocom – delivered a fully functional solution by September 2025, avoiding the August holiday window as planned.
The results speak clearly. Nova’s retail stores now process around 200,000 document signings per month through Namirial’s in-store solution alone, with thousands of additional envelopes processed monthly through the new SaaS platform across prepaid onboarding, telesales, field services, and partner commissioning. Before the project, completing a fixed migration contract took an average of 6.5 days. With the new OTP-based digital signing flow, 62% of customers complete their contract on the same day.
Namirial’s eSignAnyWhere platform met all of Nova’s core requirements: omnichannel flexibility, deep integration capability, built-in compliance with eIDAS, and access to a broader ecosystem of trust services – including timestamping and long-term archiving – that Nova is already eyeing for its next phase of digital transformation.
