According to Versicherungsforen Leipzig, with around 600 participants, more than 55 exhibitors and over 85 speakers, it is the leading industry event in Germany. Namirial will be on site with its own booth, where you can meet Klaus Fellner, Managing Director Namirial GmbH, and Sarah Boatto, Marketing Specialist. They look forward to talking with you about digital identity, electronic signatures and trust services in insurance sales, from compliance to concrete technical implementation.

On the first day of the event, 24 November, Klaus Fellner will deliver a session from 11:45 to 12:15 together with Andreas Scheifele, external service provider for e-application at ATLAS and DVAG Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG, titled “Digital Application 2.0: PDF is a thing of the past. How the DVAG HTML5 application journey with Namirial’s KYC and AES/QES meets compliance requirements and redefines digital insurance closing” (held in German). The key topics are:

    • Platform architecture: one closing journey for more than 700 products and multiple product providers
    • Guided process instead of paper chaos: an HTML5-guided journey that systematically eliminates sources of error such as forgotten PDF attachments and media breaks
    • Signature matrix in practice: AES and QES, on site and remote, with reuse of identification under the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG) or ad-hoc identity verification via Video Selfie Ident
    • Namirial as QTSP and identity verification provider in one: no interface breaks and no app requirement thanks to a pure HTML5 front end

    MORE INFO

On 2 January 2027, d-you, Germany’s national EUDI Wallet, goes live, initially with the digital ID (PID) and first attestations. Public bodies will then have to accept it. From 24 December 2027, the obligation also applies to private service providers required to use strong user authentication, such as banks, insurers, energy, telecommunications, transport and healthcare. For many organisations, the question is no longer “if”, but: who is responsible for this in our organisation – and what will it cost in 2027?

In this free webinar, Claus Harthertz (adesso) and Jörg Lenz (Namirial) show what needs to be done now: clarifying responsibilities and resources, realistically assessing the timeline and scope of functions, avoiding typical mistakes when onboarding as a relying party, and planning the connection approach and budget items for 2027. You will also get updates and new insights from the Smart Country Convention, plus use cases showing how organisations can issue credentials into the wallet themselves. The webinar will be held in German.

Target audience: digitalisation, enterprise architecture and IT, product and onboarding, as well as compliance, anti-money laundering and data protection at banks, payment service providers, insurers and other organisations that will act as relying parties in the future.

Over two days in Munich, decision-makers from banks, payment providers, regulators, wallet providers, and technology companies come together to discuss the latest developments in digital onboarding, strong customer authentication, digital identity, and the future of banking.

The summit is aimed primarily at professionals and executives from the banking sector — particularly those working in compliance, digital banking, identity & onboarding, payments, and innovation and strategy. Representatives from fintechs, payment networks, wallet providers, and regulatory bodies also attend. For Namirial as a Qualified Trust Service Provider, the summit offers direct access to exactly those market participants who will be most affected by the upcoming regulatory shifts in onboarding and electronic signature.

Klaus Fellner, Managing Director at Namirial Austria, will participate in the event with the session “EUDI Wallet, AMLR, DIdG, & QES – Opportunities and Challenges for Onboarding and SCA in 2026/27” and will also join the panel discussion “Digital Wallets Outpacing Regulation: What Banks Must Build Now” – together with Ricky Ranjan, Senior Director, Global Partnerships – Digital Platforms at PayPal; Victor Bergmann, Head of Partnerships Domestic Schemes & DACH at Google Pay, and Martin Schmid, Chief Sales Officer at Lissi GmbH – exploring how wallets are becoming “super apps” for identity, loyalty, credit, and cross-border payments; the growing role of wallet-based KYC and digital identity, and how Digital Euro use cases can be meaningfully embedded in consumer products.

On 30 September 2026, the “Digitalization Summit Banking“, organised by LSZ Future Connections, will bring together CIOs, CDOs and digital leaders from the Austrian banking sector at Le Méridien Vienna. Namirial will be represented by Klaus Fellner and Andreas van der Linden. In his talk, Klaus Fellner will explore why digital identification will become mandatory from 2027 onwards, and what role ID Austria will continue to play alongside the EUDI Wallet. The session translates the AMLR and DORA requirements into practice: what actually changes in onboarding, which evidentiary obligations arise, and how this can be implemented technically and organisationally in line with the ETSI 119 461 standard.

The German EUDI Wallet launches on January 2, 2027. Public bodies and very large online platforms will then have to accept it for online identification. National implementation is handled via the Digital Identity Act (DIdG).

In this free webinar, lawyer Per Meyerdierks (GSK Stockmann) together with Klaus Fellner and Jörg Lenz (Namirial) explain what to do now: assessing applicability, registering as a relying party under Art. 5b eIDAS Regulation, data protection impact assessments, query restrictions, and liability issues in the identity supply chain, as well as direct integration vs. working with an intermediary.

Target audience: Legal & Compliance, Data Protection, Product/Onboarding, IT, and AML teams at banks, insurers, regulated industries, and public authorities.
