Namirial strengthens its regulatory and advocacy presence: Matteo Panfilo appointed Advocacy & Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director

Matteo Panfilo, Advocacy & Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director at Namirial

Milan / Senigallia / Madrid, 5 November 2026 – Namirial, the European leader in digital trust, identification and digital transaction management solutions, announces the appointment of Matteo Panfilo as Advocacy & Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director. Matteo will lead a new team of Namirial experts and will be the Group’s main point of contact for regulatory and advocacy matters at international level. He will represent Namirial in its dialogue with European and national institutions, supervisory authorities, analysts and the main European standardisation bodies for telecommunications and digital services, where he is already active.

In his new role, Matteo will bring to the Group the experience he has gained and his direct knowledge of the banking sector and of the needs of companies operating in highly regulated environments.

“Matteo has already led the definition of our product strategy within the management team and has built up recognised expertise in the sector over the years. As a regtech operator, we felt it was necessary to dedicate a team to advocacy and regulatory affairs: with this appointment, we are strengthening our ability to engage with institutions at international level and to combine innovation with the opportunities arising from regulatory change, for the benefit of our customers and the entire ecosystem,” said Max Pellegrini, CEO of Namirial.

Matteo Panfilo’s appointment comes at a time of profound transformation for Europe, which is called upon to strike a difficult balance between innovation, competitiveness and regulation. The regulatory framework is reshaping highly strategic and supervised sectors, starting with trust services, Namirial’s core business, and the adjacent areas in which the Group’s customers operate, from AML (Anti-Money Laundering) to fraud prevention and payments, up to the first rules on interactions with AI agents, with an increasingly central role for digital identity. In this context, the advocacy role will serve a dual purpose: speaking to the market to stimulate innovation and keeping a close, expert eye on regulatory changes.

“We are living through a phase in which Europe must find a difficult balance between innovation, competitiveness and regulation. Our goal is to contribute to the dialogue with regulators by bringing our experience and the innovation we develop every day in the field, and to support customers and partners in implementing the new requirements.” – said Matteo Panfilo, Advocacy & Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director at Namirial.
