Meet Namirial

On 10 November 2026, Berlin will host DigiFin26, one of the leading specialist conferences for experts from politics, finance, technology, regulatory authorities and civil society. The event is dedicated to the key themes of digital transformation in the financial sector, from new technologies to security issues and regulatory requirements. It is aimed at professionals and managers engaging with the future of the financial sector who want concrete insights into current developments and practical solutions.

Namirial will take part in DigiFin26 with its own booth, with Klaus Fellner, Managing Director of Namirial Austria, Stefan Weninger, Account Executive, and Sarah Boatto, Marketing Specialist, who will meet visitors to discuss the digital future of the financial sector together – from regulatory compliance to practical technical implementation – as well as the specific needs around digital identity, electronic signature and trust services in the banking sector.

On 30 September 2026, the “Digitalization Summit Banking“, organised by LSZ Future Connections, will bring together CIOs, CDOs and digital leaders from the Austrian banking sector at Le Méridien Vienna. The programme focuses on the key issues shaping the future of the banking sector: from the transformation of core banking, to financial crime, digital sovereignty, resilience and the digital euro.

Namirial will be represented by Klaus Fellner and Stefan Weninger. In his talk, Klaus Fellner will explore why digital identification will become mandatory from 2027 onwards, and what role ID Austria will continue to play alongside the EUDI Wallet. The session translates the AMLR and DORA requirements into practice: what actually changes in onboarding, which evidentiary obligations arise, and how this can be implemented technically and organisationally in line with the ETSI 119 461 standard.

On 23 and 24 September 2026, the banking sector will gather in Cologne for INNOVATIONSforBANKS, the congress dedicated to leaders from banks, savings banks and financial services providers. At the heart of the event will be current trends, innovative solutions and practical strategies relating to digitalization, fintech innovation and new technologies. Namirial will take part in the event with its own booth, where Klaus Fellner, Managing Director of Namirial Austria, Stefan Weninger, Account Executive, and Sarah Boatto, Marketing Specialist, will be present.

Klaus Fellner will also give a talk showing what eIDAS 2.0 and the AMLR concretely mean for banks and by when they must be implemented; what actually changes in practice for customer onboarding and for SCA with the EUDI Wallet; what the wallet replaces and what it does not, as well as the question of whether VideoIdent will actually become obsolete under the AMLR – including for those without an EUDI Wallet.
