EUDI-Wallet: Relying Party Legal Checklist

The German EUDI Wallet launches on January 2, 2027. Public bodies and very large online platforms will then have to accept it for online identification. From December 24, 2027, the acceptance obligation applies to all private service providers subject to strong user authentication requirements — including banks, insurers, energy and water suppliers, telecoms, transport, and healthcare. National implementation is handled via the Digital Identity Act (DIdG).

In this free webinar, lawyer Per Meyerdierks (GSK Stockmann) together with Klaus Fellner and Jörg Lenz (Namirial) explain what to do now: assessing applicability, registering as a relying party under Art. 5b eIDAS Regulation, data protection impact assessments, query restrictions, and liability issues in the identity supply chain, as well as direct integration vs. working with an intermediary.

Target audience: Legal & Compliance, Data Protection, Product/Onboarding, IT, and AML teams at banks, insurers, regulated industries, and public authorities.
