The regulatory landscape is shifting – and it’s shifting fast: with eIDAS 2 and the Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR), fully digital processes for user legitimisation (KYC) in the financial sector are not only becoming possible, but mandatory. For banks and financial service providers, this means: those who don’t act now risk falling behind in an increasingly competitive market.
In this practice-oriented workshop, Klaus Fellner (Namirial) and Clemens Glatz, Head of Digital Customer Solutions at Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien AG, will jointly explore what the upcoming regulatory changes mean in concrete terms – and how companies can proactively seize the new opportunities they present.
What to Expect from This Workshop
Participants will gain a clear overview of the regulatory changes surrounding EUDI Wallet, Video Ident and ID Austria – along with actionable recommendations for practical implementation:
- What will really change with the EUDI Wallet? – and what does this mean for existing KYC processes?
- Will Video Ident become obsolete under AMLR? – even for users without an EUDI Wallet?
- What role will ID Austria play in the future within the Austrian context?
- What further opportunities does the EUDI Wallet open up – for example in Strong Customer Authentication or the convergence of identity and payment?
- Best practices for 2027 and beyond – what should financial service providers be preparing for right now?
