During the CEE Annual Payments Forum 2025, held in Bucharest on 21 October 2025, the panel ‘New Tech & Digital Resilience’ discussed the roles of AI, data governance, and digital identity in Eastern Europe. - The European digital identity framework (eIDAS 2) and how tools such as the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) can strengthen security and user control.
