Namirial will take part in ITASEC26 – Italian Conference on Cybersecurity

From February 9 to 13, 2026, Namirial will take part in ITASEC26 – Italian Conference on Cybersecurity, the leading national event dedicated to cybersecurity, taking place in Cagliari at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Piazza d’Armi.

Organized by the CINI Cybersecurity National Lab in collaboration with the SERICS Foundation, within the framework of the PNRR – Next Generation EU, ITASEC26 represents the 2nd Joint National Conference on Cybersecurity, strengthening collaboration between academia, institutions, and industry. The 2026 edition is held under the patronage of the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency, confirming its strategic relevance at both national and European level.

Over five days, ITASEC26 will provide a forum for discussion and knowledge exchange among universities, research centers, public authorities, and private companies, focusing on current and future challenges in digital security and its practical applications.

ITASEC26 – Program

  • February 9 – workshops and tutorials;
  • February 10–12 – keynote speeches, panels, and scientific sessions;
  • February 13 – HighSchool CTF Workshop, dedicated to high school students and teachers from Sardinia.

During the event, Namirial will actively contribute to the discussion through two key sessions, combining strategic vision with hands-on experimentation.

On Wednesday, 11 February, from 12:00 to 13:00, Namirial will host a vendor session dedicated to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), led by Giulio Di Clemente, R&D Analyst at Namirial.

The session will provide a practical introduction to post-quantum cryptography applied to real-world scenarios, including post-quantum digital signatures for PDF documents, verification processes, and file encryption and decryption mechanisms, highlighting the differences compared to traditional approaches.

The session will also feature a live quantum computing demonstration, showing how a quantum computer can break a short RSA private key, clearly illustrating why the transition to post-quantum cryptography is no longer theoretical, but urgent.

On Thursday, February 12, from 09:30 to 10:00, Davide Coletto, CIO & CAIO of Namirial, will present the talk “From Quantum Computing Threats to Post-Quantum Trust: The Namirial Perspective.”

The presentation will focus on the concrete impact of quantum computing on modern asymmetric cryptography and on the trust services that rely on it, outlining Namirial’s long-term strategy to address this evolving threat.

Participants will also have the opportunity to experience a public PQC demo, testing post-quantum signatures, verification, encryption and decryption processes, and observing a real quantum attack on RSA through a QR-code–enabled demonstration.

Through its participation, Namirial reaffirms its commitment to building secure and trusted digital ecosystems, fostering cooperation across research, institutions, and industry to help shape the future of cybersecurity.
