Challenges and reasons for implementing an electronic signature solution and digital onboarding
The increasing need for scalable, legally effective and efficient processes led BG prevent to decide to digitise paper-based signature processes. The focus here was on:
- Increased efficiency: Contract conclusions, internal approvals and customer processes should be accelerated and carried out regardless of location.
- Legal conformity and compliance: As a provider in a highly regulated environment (e.g. Labour Protection Act, GDPR), BG prevent requires digital solutions with a high evidential value in court.
- Sustainability: The digital transformation should not only streamline processes, but also reduce paper, printing and shipping costs as a clear contribution to the sustainability strategy.
- Customer expectations: Modern clients, whether private or public, expect user-friendly, digital solutions at eye level.
Why did BG prevent need a partner in the trust services sector and what were the specific requirements?
With over 300 critical signature processes, it was clear that we needed a partner that was not only a technological leader, but also a qualified trust service provider in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation. For BG prevent, it was crucial that the chosen solution could map internal and external processes in one platform, fulfil high data protection and information security requirements, be customizable (e.g. white labelling) and be integrated into existing systems such as HR or facility management tools.
