Nowadays, digital processes are an indispensable part of our everyday work, as they speed up processes, offer convenience and thus increase the efficiency of our work. Both customers and business partners expect uncomplicated interaction with companies. In order to meet this demand, it is essential to digitize processes across borders. This is where the eIDAS regulation comes into force, which makes it possible to easily operate across geographical boundaries using electronic identification and signature solutions, while ensuring legal certainty, transparency and efficiency. 

The bitkom TRANSFORM 2024 on March 6 and 7 was focused precisely these topics.  

In their presentation, Habib Bejaoui and Jörg Lenz showed what the eIDAS regulation means for the use of electronic signatures and seals and gave a perspective on future legal changes.
