Namirial supports the reconstruction after floods in the Marche region

(SENIGALLIA) – September 21, 2022: Namirial, a multinational company that provides software solutions and digital trust services for the digitization of private sector companies and public administration organizations, is based in the Marche region, an area which has been hit by torrential rain followed by severe floodings on September 16, 2022 in several communities including Senigallia and Ancona itself.

While the company headquarters in Senigallia and the Ancona office have not been affected, several lives were lost in the community and many houses have been flooded. Namirial is deeply rooted in the local communities since its inception almost 22 years ago and is committed to delivering substantial disaster relief support to affected citizens in the communities of Marche region.

Namirial is enabling employees impacted by floods and those willing to support disaster relief efforts to take some extra time off paid by the company in supporting cleaning and reconstruction. Moreover Namirial has enabled remote working for a large portion of its employees in response to road closures and road works on reconstruction. With these measures Namirial aims to contribute in supporting natural disaster relief efforts while also making a clear commitment of its corporate citizenship.

One Namirial’s major annual company events bringing together Namirial employees from its many locations around the globe – the Namirial Hackathon – will be running on Thursday September 22 in Senigallia as scheduled. Following its highly successful introduction in 2021 the Namirial Hackathon once more provides a unique innovation hub. In 2022 11 teams, consisting of employees collaborating from several office locations, will finally be meeting in Senigallia for this unique event. On Friday September 23 a range of volunteers from these teams will engage together with the local non-profit organization Caritas Senigallia in engaging in dedicated disaster relief efforts.

Max Pellegrini, CEO of Namirial, said: “The hackathon involves many local services that rely on their work to cope with recent events. Supporting these businesses is necessary to restart immediately and help rebuild the regio . The Marche region is about to recover and we are proud to help overcome this critical moment”.

Namirial also embarked on the “namirial4senigallia” initiative, with which it provides the necessary equipment to volunteers and is making 20,000 Euro available to match donations from its employees.
