Trustworthy electronic identification and the necessary security is the major topic at Omnisecure. The traditional congress under the motto “The World of Smart ID Solutions” highlights numerous topics that belong to Namirial’s core business such as “Digital Identity”, “Digital Confidentiality”, “Digital Europe” and “Artificial Intelligence”.
Around 500 decision-makers from business, politics, public administration and science are expected for the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experience. The responsible ministries present political initiatives and plans and experts report from industry and research.
Omnisecure offers a comprehensive overview of new applications, challenges and solutions, technology trends, advances or delays in trend-setting projects. This time, among other things, the projects relating to ID cards and driving licenses on smartphones (ID wallet and smart eID) will be examined in a constructive and critical manner.
Plans for a far-reaching revision of EU Regulation 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services – eIDAS, eIDAS, are also being discussed. The technical and legal framework for the standardization of European digital identities and corresponding wallet concepts are currently being created by the eIDAS expert group.
