Meet Namirial at ENFHEX Conference 2021

The European Network of Forensic Handwriting Experts (ENFHEX) is an Expert Working Group of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI). ENFHEX is expecting a global audience for this. The conference will cover multiple aspects of Forensic Handwriting Examination. A significant part of the in the scientific program is focussing on a special type of electronic signatures: Digitally Captured Signatures (DCS).

Digitally Captured Signatures a.k.a. Biometric Signatures have been introduced in various formats over the last decade. Namirial is one of the leading solution providers for taking handwritten signatures seriously and delivering trusted signature experiences with meaningful evidence in signed documents.

Forensic Handwriting Experts use physical-technical processes to examine writing performance through comparative analysis with regards to authenticity, authorship, any changes and temporal allocation.In late 2020 scientific research results of ENFHEX STEFA Group 8 on forensic validity of Digitally Captured Signatures compared to signatures on paper and procedures for forensic examination were published.

This conference will explore and present the incorporation and use of Digitally Captured Signatures in typical Forensic Handwriting Experts casework where the questioned signature is in pen and paper form but access to comparison material Digitally Captured Signatures form is available.

A live training session on how to analyze Digitally Captured Signatures executed byNikolaos “Niko” Kalantzis, manager and senior examiner at Chartoularios P.C. Institute of Questioned Document Studies in Greece. The session will be featuring the Namirial Firma Certa Forensic analysis software. Namirial Digitally Captured Signatures Expert Luigi Enrico Tomasini will be joining the training and is available for questions and individual consultations.
