Meet Namirial at Bankingclub Signature Day 2022

Event website

The Bankingclub Signature Day is one of the most important events for the digitalisation of processes in banks in Germany. At the Signature Day, those responsible for the digitalisation of processes requiring signatures from savings banks, credit unions and the private banking sector meet for an interdisciplinary exchange on current challenges.

The legal framework for the use of electronic signatures is provided by the EU Regulation 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services (eIDAS). The European Commission’s plans for a far-reaching revision will also be discussed at the Signature Day.

From 2024, EU member states are to make it mandatory to provide a wallet for digital identities, in which they can link their national digital identity with proof of other personal attributes (e.g. driving licence, degree certificates, bank account, etc.). This could simplify numerous processes in banking, especially for new customers (customer onboarding). Work on the technical details, standards and best practices for providing attributes and functionality of the wallet is currently underway.

However, this is still pie in the sky. Today, banks need solutions with which they can reduce their costs as immediately as possible and survive in competition. This is especially true for the classic retail banks with their cost-intensive branch network. At the same time, the presence in all channels is one of the great strengths of this form of credit institution. More and more banks are turning to Namirial’s signature workflow orchestration solutions due to their outstanding support of omnichannel requirements and highly regulated use cases.

Klaus Fellner, Managing Director of Namirial GmbH, highlights in his practical report “Electronic Signature – Customer & Compliance Happiness Check: How to do it even better” current regulatory, technical and organizational aspects in the use of electronic signatures and how to quickly achieve a very high acceptance and usage among customers and employees.

Namirial’s signature and workflow experts will be on hand to provide participants with individual advice on the following topics, among others:

  • Integration of the e-signature in existing process and system landscapes
  • Consideration of deployment options in the cloud or on premises
  • Integration of identification verification procedures and digital identities
  • Simplify processes without compromising their evidential value
